New Wines from Narmada Winery

Narmada Wine with appetizersNarmada Winery’s Maharaja Wine Club Members will get an exclusive “sneak peek/ early bird tasting” of our new release wines at our Members-Only Wine Club Party on June 2, 2012 from 6-8 PM.

Here’s what we will be revealing and tasting on June 2:

Chardonnay Reserve 2010: This Chardonnay wine was aged in neutral French Oak until it was bottled. “Sur Lie” aging which is keeping it on its Lees for more complexity and preserving the fruit flavors is what we did for this particular wine. Our Chardonnay Reserve has lot of minerality with flavors of Apple and Melon. We have produced only 48 cases of this wine.
ALC 13.8%, pH 3.26, TA 6.91

Cabernet Franc Reserve 2009: Quality of the grape was excellent this year. This Cabernet Franc has been aged in oak for over 2 years. It is blended with Petit Verdot (88% Cab Franc and 12% Petit Verdot). This wine has an aroma of potpourri of spices and deep black cherry with long lasting flavors on the palate and touch of black pepper.
ALC 13.7%, pH 3.66, TA 5.74

Tannat 2010: An up-in-coming grape here in Virginia, this French grape got its popularity in Uruguay. Our Tannat is rich, bold and a deep purple colored wine made using the Tannat grape and blended with Cabernet Sauvignon (80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon). This wine is aged for 18 months in oak. Cabernet Sauvignon softens the wine tannins and makes it an enjoyable wine with deep cherry and plum flavors with a hint of chocolate.
ALC 13.7%, pH 3.81, TA 6.39
