Here at Narmada Winery, we would like to keep up with Thomas Jefferson’s belief that every venture in horticulture should be journaled.

Follow our timeline and learn about the history of the vineyard and wine varieties at Narmada:
 

2009

Grand Opening Celebration of Narmada Winery held November 20th - 22nd.

2008

Despite a summer hail storm, Narmada vineyards produce an exciting 44 tons of grapes. Sudha and Pandit keep enough grapes to produce their first vintage of wines and sell theremainder to other local wineries.

2007

Patils enjoy their first large harvest since planting their vineyards; 14-15 tons of grapes are reaped from the fields.

2006

The Patil home is completed, allowing Sudha and Pandit to participate and monitor the growth of their vineyard on a daily basis. The pavilion facing the pond is also constructed at this time.

2005

More varietals of grapes are cultivated and the vineyard grows to include 3 acres of Chambourcin, 2.5 acres of Chardonelle, and 1.5 acres of Traminette grapes

2004

The first vineyard is planted - 2 acres of Vidal grapes

2002-2003

Narmada Barn is constructed and a large pond is created in the landscape. The pond is stocked with several varieties of fish including catfish, trout, bluegill, coy and butterfly fish.

1999

Amissville property purchased by Sudha and Pandit Patil.
