Chardonnay -
Barrel fermented and aged in French oak for nine months
give this French styled chardonnay the precise amount
of oak. The wine has also gone through partial malolactic
fermentation giving it the right balance of roundness
to the mouth feel and crispness in the green apple and
pear flavors that come through on the palate and aromas
of vanilla. This Chardonnay pairs wonderfully with a boiled
lobster or a roasted chicken.
Viognier - This style
of Viognier is steel fermented to emphasis the floral
aromatics and fruit flavors of the variety and barrel
aged in French oak for seven months to ensure the perfect
kiss of oak to give the wine a little texture. Citrus
fruit give way to melon flavors on the finish to make
this a complete white wine that is always a Virginia wine
lover’s favorite. This style Viognier pairs perfectly
with Maryland style crab cakes or any pasta dish with
a creamy white sauce. 2009 Viognier= 2010 Virginia Wine Lover Magazine Wine Classic - GOLD
MOM - This wine is
a tribute to the owner’s mother and to all moms
out there for all the sacrifices that you make. This
wine is 100% Chardonel, which is a French-American Hybrid
that is grown on the estate at Narmada. With about 1.5%
residual sugar the wine is off-dry this helps highlight
the tropical fruit flavors of pineapple and passion
fruit. The Residual sugar also makes this a classic
pairing with spicy Indian or Asian cuisine. 2009 Commercial Wine Competition – Bronze 2009 MOM Chardonel= 2010 Virginia Wine Lover Magazine Wine Classic - PLATINUM
